Consulting Services Support to Human Capacity Development of the Palestinian Water Service Providers Delivery of training Activities

Narrative Description of project:
The training assignment took place in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, to raise the capacities of water services providers staff through practical, and scientific training sessions. With specific regard to the training topics underlying this assignment. The objective of this assignment is to implement the human capacity development measures in effective manner through local training providers, and it included the following topics.

• Improve water and energy efficiency in water and wastewater facilities.
• Instrumentation and control for water and wastewater processes.
• Driving water and wastewater utilities to more sustainable green energy management “Solar Pumps Technologies”.

In addition, the training allowed acquire an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the efficient operation of the water and wastewater systems, latest technologies, reduction of operational cost, integration of renewable energy into the water and wastewater systems, protecting the environment, meet the challenges in planning, design, implementation, monitoring, quality control, and operation of the water and wastewater systems.
The training sessions were carried out by specialized experts, that have scientific and practical expertise in the targeted topics. The training knowledge enhanced the capacity of the operators in terms of providing high quality water and wastewater services to the population.
