Emergency response to restore essential WASH infrastructure in Gaza implemented under the USAID Program
At the request of AECOM, SES conducted a comprehensive assessment of the water, wastewater and drainage infrastructure in Gaza that was damaged during the 11-day conflict between the Israeli Defense Forces and various entities from May 10 to May 21, 2021.
Through visual inspections, analysis of available data, and technical evaluations, our assessment team has quantified the extent of damage and the requirements to restore the essential services provided by this critical infrastructure.
Scope of Work:
- Assisting of USAID in its coordination efforts with the Palestinian Water Authority and other donors to design the interventions.
- Prepare damage assessment report for the WASH infrastructure in Gaza affected by the war activities.
- Prepare screening cost estimates, cost benefit analysis, and providing recommendations to USAID on the feasibility of the projects.
- Prepare the engineering design to restore the damaged WASH facilities.
- Provide support to USAID to develop procurement packages.
