Engineering design review, verification, and follow-up services for water underground reservoir, pumping station, and water transmission line in Jericho

The Central Training Institute (CTI) in Jericho is a training facility owned by the Palestinian Authority National Security Forces, and it includes headquarters, administrative building, Civil Defense training facility, classrooms, accommodations buildings, Tin City for security simulation exercises, and a vehicle maintenance center.

Currently, the quantities of water supplied to CTI are not sufficient to meet its demand needs, therefore UNDP/PAPP has initiated a project that aims to provide additional water quantities to CTI. The project’s scope of work involves extending the 28 inches transmission pipe that currently transmits water from the Al Newaimeh spring to Al Duke’s existing reservoir, connecting it to a proposed groundwater reservoir located next to the Al Duke reservoir. The water will be transmitted from the proposed reservoir to the existing elevated water reservoir at the CTI, and to an existing reservoir in Al Duke village via two transmission pipes.

Services:

  • Validate that the facilities’ design complies with applicable local and international codes and standards and guidelines and can best meet the functional, safety, and environmental needs of the projects at reasonable capital and operational costs.
